We offer state-of-the-art digital x-rays and digital dental x-rays, which can often be obtained within just a few minutes, and in most cases, without sedation. Sedation may be suggested in certain situations, but is only administered with the owner’s full acknowledgement and consent. Radiographs are often an invaluable tool to aid in the diagnosis of many conditions. Radiographs may also be transferred to a CD for you to take home, or to a veterinary specialist if necessary. We also have the ability to email radiographs to area specialists, OFA, or to radiologists for further consultation. In addition to radiology, we offer veterinary ultrasonography to our patients through a veterinary radiology specialist service.
The Orthopedic Foundation of America evaluates potential breeding dogs for genetic disease of the skeletal system. We can assist in this process by taking and providing radiographs (x-rays) to the OFA. Usually, sedation is required in order to meet OFA specifications. Please contact us for more information regarding the requirements and/or visit www.offa.org.
